Sarapes-1

Sarapes-1

from 185.00

Stemming from Aztec origins, sarapes are a knee-length blankets made out of cotton, agave fibers, and natural dies from fruits and bugs. Traditionally the designs are linear and geometric with a diamond in the middle. If you see a design with a diamond shape in the middle, it represents a space where a hole would be for someones head, so the blanket can be used as a pancho. The designs have been expanded, but the earthy, geometric, and linear concepts remain.
